Hi, I'm Henry Xu, an Assistant Professor in Department of Computer Science, Ci
ty University of Hong Kong. I'm currently looking for students to come to my g
roup as Research Assistants or graduate students. You'll have opportunities to
work closely with me and external collaborators on exciting topics such as da
ta center networking (load balancing, failures, energy), cloud computing (big
data systems), and computer systems in general. You may also be involved in bu
ilding some small-scale network testbeds from scratch.
Some general requirements (in descending order of importance):
(1) Well motivated and want to do high quality research in computer networks a
nd systems.
(2) A strong background in either systems (CS with OS, distributed systems, ne
tworks background) or math (EE background), or both.
(3) A good command of English in writing and oral communications.
Undergrads and Master students are both welcome. If you're interested, please
