• Air pollution, urban wind climate, urban heat islands, energy and envi
ronment,
• Automatic control, applied mathematics, acoustics, vibration,
• Engineering design, manufacturing technology, robotics,
• Nanotechnology, materials science,
• Medical engineering, tissue engineering, biomaterials

How to apply

as early as possible. The application deadline of the Main Round is 1 Decemb
er, 2011.
For students in the Mainland China, who submit their applications before 15 Oc
tober, 2011 they may be invited for an interview in Beijing and Shanghai aroun
d November 2011.
Scholarships
All successful applicants will receive a studentship of about HK$165,000 annua
lly. Successful applicants are also eligible to apply for Hong Kong Postgradua
te Fellowship (http://www.ugc.edu.hk/chs/chs_rgc/hkphd/hkphd.htm, which provi
des HK$240,000 per year for PhD study. The expected admission date is 1 Septem
ber, 2012.
