thin Sabre Airline Solutions is looking for motivated, innovative individuals
to supplement our elite team of Operations Research Developers. This team deve
lops and supports optimization components across several solution areas includ
ing: airline crew planning and scheduling, airport resource and operations, an
d disruption management.
The Operations Research Developer: designs, codes, tests, and debugs complex o
ptimization software using advanced OR technologies. Makes recommendations to
improve the design and quality of OR engines and optimization components. Perf
orms applied research and designs and develops new algorithms and methodologie
s.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Master's in Operations Research or equivalent degree; PhD preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Advanced computer software skills. Specific experience with linear and integer
programming required; network flows, graph theory, column generation, and lar
ge-scale optimization desired. Works well in a team environment, participates
in group design and brainstorming sessions. Have good communication skills; wr
itten and verbal, and strong problem solving and analytical skills.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
C++ Object oriented development. ILOG CPLEX, Concert Technology experiences a
plus. Experience with UNIX and/or Windows development platforms, version contr
ol management systems, memory/performance/code profilers is preferred.
