Ph.D. Positions in Robotics (Computer Science) at Colorado School of Mines
Multiple RA/TA positions are available in the Fall of 2015 for Ph.D. study in
Dr. Hao Zhang’s Human-Centered Robotics Lab in the Department of Electrical E
ngineering and Computer Science at Colorado School of Mines (CSM). The success
ful candidates are expected to conduct research in 3-D perception, robot learn
ing and adaptation, and/or human-robot teaming in assistive robotics and field

Colorado School of Mines has an extraordinary robotics program, which is ranke
d as a Top 10 best university in U.S. for robotics by Business Insider (and ot
hers). Colorado School of Mines is Colorado’s oldest public university, which
is located in Golden, Colorado, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountain, 15 mi
les west of Denver and 20 miles south of Boulder. USA Today puts CSM 1st in it
s list of top 10 engineering colleges in the U.S. and CSM ranks 55th in U.S. N
ews and World Report’s 2015 ranking of engineering graduate schools.
